Criteria

Criteria

To be eligible for the ICGU CG Awards 2018, Nominees must;

  1. Be registered in Uganda, with a physical office and at least 20 employees on full time basis.
  2. Have a Board of directors and minutes of Board meetings for at least 2 years.
  3. Have approved corporate strategy, risk management policy framework.
  4. Be tax compliant at minimum.
  5. Nominations MUST be submitted by each organization in only one category
In order for the nomination to be considered, materials submitted in support of the nominations must relate to activities that took place between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2017.

Judging Criteria
Organizations will be rated on each of the criteria below as per the weightage of each of the criteria, on a scale of 1 – 10 with 10 being the highest score basing on the following;
  1. Best Practices in Strategic Planning, Oversight and Value Creation by the Board - Weightage – 25%.
  2. Best Approach to Achieving Effective Board and Committee Operations - Weightage – 10%.
  3. Best Practices in Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Controls - Weightage – 20%.
  4. Best Practices in Sustainability and Environmental, Social Governance (ESG) - Weightage – 25%.
  5. Best Practices in Enhancing Diversity – Weightage – 10%.
  6. Best in Governance Reporting and Transparency including Compensation Disclosure and Communication - Weightage – 10%.
